From investigations made inspired by the archives of the National Waterfront Museum, in Swansea. We request the input of your experiences in and around Swansea in regards to industrial heritage, and these effects. Over 4 months in 2006, I talked to over 80 people and interviewed and recorded their lives and stories and made it into a film about memories and experiences, from 2 perspectives, a strangers, and a person who has lived there all their life. This juxtaposed with 2 generations and their completly different views of a place and the industrial history and opportunities that offers. |
>>museum archives >>claiming the past >>contemporary thoughts on regeneration in these areas. On the left is a photograph of my Grandmother, Cruigwen Lewis who was an actress and used to perform at the Eisteddfod in the 20s before she went to drama school in London to become an actress, who would go on to act with Lawrence Olivier and Ralph Richardson. It is very exciting to participate in the eisteddfod some 80 years later. |
