Met up with the Swansea East Historical Society, I gave a brief talk and they were wonderful about talking about growing up in St. Thomas. Met Avril Rolph to talk about Women's Archive History and discovered the most woderful oral history recordings at the Glamorgan Archives.

Start work, meet what feels like the whole of Swansea in a few days. Love the marina, love the sea, 2 days of beautiful blue sky ...the feelings for being as glad to leave part of your life behind are actually better than starting new avenues in life. Knocked on lots of doors, of very friendly museum people and ask about women in the 19th centuary, a few of the same names come out. Meanwhile, notice specifically how helpful everyone is and relaxed about opening the door, and therefore their knowledge to me.

write to projects@bluemacaskill.com Find that I am very vague... too vague? How can I know, don't want to not learn about events that might turn out to bear fruit; worried I might stretch myself too far. Go out with some friends into town and learn about women who have got big jobs in male-orientated jobs in Swansea, mmmmnnn, that could be interesting, later meet girls who have left Swansea Uni and can't fingd the job they want. They don't want to leave, but how can they stay? Maybe if I haven't figured out the Mary and Amy Dillwyn theme, I might know about how to work with what women's industry issues are now.........
